Teeth Whitening
A radiant, bright smile is our calling card, a testament to the health we so desire. Well-maintained, white teeth are one of our greatest adornments, associated with vitality and reflecting awareness of overall health. While it is said that “clothes do not make the man”… a healthy, white smile certainly does! It boosts confidence and tangibly helps in regaining self-assurance. However, depending on diet, lifestyle habits, and genetics, teeth can show a shade that many may perceive as less aesthetically pleasing. What can we do about it?
ℹ
There are many teeth whitening methods available on the market, but the most effective, guaranteeing the most spectacular results, is what is known as CUSTOM TEETH WHITENING. This method is also the most commonly chosen by dental professionals?an undisputed number one.
Custom whitening is done at home by the patient, usually at night. Based on a precise dental impression taken at the clinic, a dental technician creates custom whitening trays that fit perfectly to the patient’s teeth. Upon receiving the trays, patients are provided with a case and a whitening gel, which is stored in the fridge at our clinic to ensure the freshness and effectiveness of this medical product. If someone chooses to purchase whitening gel online on their own, they will not have any assurance of how it was stored or transported.
It is important to highlight that custom whitening partially frees patients from the clinic?once the trays are their property, they can reuse them multiple times if they wish or need to whiten their teeth again. Custom whitening can be done over several consecutive days, and each morning, the patient can assess in the mirror whether the desired effect has been achieved.
For patients who want immediate results, we also offer IN-OFFICE WHITENING. This procedure lasts about an hour; however, it does not provide the same spectacular results as custom whitening, which is a gradual process, with the length depending on the level of whiteness the patient wants to achieve.
Both whitening methods use the same chemical substances, but the difference lies in the concentration of the active ingredient. The high concentration used in in-office whitening means the product can remain on the teeth for only about an hour and often causes significant, lasting tooth sensitivity for up to a day.
It is possible to combine both techniques?in-office whitening for immediate results and custom whitening to deepen and maintain the effect.
IMPORTANT! The key to a safe teeth whitening process for both teeth and gums is the absence of cavities and inflammation. Therefore, it is best to have teeth professionally whitened at a dental clinic, as only a dentist can correctly assess whether a patient is suitable for this procedure.
Teeth cleaning before whitening and the whitening procedure itself are carried out by our two certified dental hygienists?Beata Mazur and Izabela Stawiany.
