Endodontic treatment, commonly known as root canal treatment, is one of the most fundamental procedures performed in dental offices. It is essential in cases where the tooth pulp has become infected or necrotic due to deep decay or, less commonly, mechanical or thermal trauma. It is often the only way to preserve the tooth.
